A great lie has swept into the Church over the last 40 years or so - TopicsExpress

A great lie has swept into the Church over the last 40 years or so that has devastated the Truth of the Gospel bringing division and a myriad of false teachers leading many astray concerning fire and brimstone preaching. In the epistle of Jude, Jude appears urgent to warn Christians about the false teachers that are sensual, pervert the truth, and are destined for divine judgment. To help those, who contend earnestly for the faith, he lets us know that we have a RESPONSIBILTY to expose false teaching and WARN those who have been swayed by the false, humanistic philosophies prevalent today. Jude tells us in Jude 1:22-23, And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. This verse places a big responsibility on us to not only do whatever we can to bring these deceived people back to a place of safety, but speaks to us in a commanding voice to let us know that we dont have a choice in this matter. He is letting us know that we must act fast and deliberately and also to be continuous and unending in our efforts until we are certain that these straying brothers and sisters are back in safe territory again. And yes, they will tell you things like, stop trying to cram Religion down my throat, or Ive talked to God about it and Hes okay with my sin because He knows my heart. But the Bible tells us that the heart is deceitfully wicked, and sin separates us from God. None of us is faultless in that we have all sinned, but the Word of God tells us that to be BLAMELESS before God at the Judgment, we must repent and turn from our sin. Only by the working and grace of God is any one able to come joyfully into His presence in blameless worship. Is He the lawful RULER of your life today? Our God is King of the Universe and how blessed are we to serve Him!
