A great new review of the Supernatural Highways album from Progwereld in The Netherlands. Hej, bedankt! :) This excerpt describes the 7 movements of Traveler on the Supernatural Highways (translated from Dutch): Part 1 gives you the whole theme of Traveler on the Supernatural Highways in 6-1/2 minutes. This makes me think of how Mike Oldfield shaped his Tubular Bells piece. Part 2 has a more electronic beat with drums and bass Stick giving this part a little more rhythm and swing. Part 3 starts with a cello solo, and Part 4 with a slow piano with intensity building in the keyboards, drums and Stick tapping. The 5th part is groovy, with a heavy bass, jazz fusion influence and excesses. becoming the distinctive sound of the NS / Stick. A funk-oriented composition of Schiff, this fits wonderfully well within the larger song. Part 6 gives you more Latin rock feel with conga sounds and other Latin American influences complemented by beautiful guitar playing from McCrite reminiscent of Carlos Santana. Part 7 is the final piece and brings you back to the familiar sound of Rocket Scientists, with brilliant keys by Norlander, beautiful acoustic guitar pieces, Stick tapping and rhythmic drums and percussion.
