A great step forward today in my new athletic career! Ive never been so excited in my life to look down at my watch at a mediocre competitive time...but to know how much work went into clocking a 7:10 400m swim was so rewarding. ...especially after the disaster of my first tri. I have much room for improvement but finishing 4th overall and winning my age group (in my 2nd triathlon) made for a great great day. Couldnt have done it without my co-pilot and cheerleader..my Sam Fioto..who got up at 5am to come watch...withstood hurricane Fioto when I got lost in route and helped me get set up in transition 2 mins before race start. I so loved having my EF teammates around after the race..because when it gets down to it...at this stage of my life...this is all about experiences. Now the march towards Ironman Princeton 70.3 continues! Great day!
