A great yogi named Jack Guest died yesterday. He will be know to my heart as a dedicated practitioner of loving-kindness and gratitude!!!! He started yoga asana class when he was 80. He always tried his best in class, even though I know that he rarely heard a word that I said. Jack was a very tall and strong looking man. His dear wife Flo was worried about him a couple of years ago, so I went over to their house and did about 10 minutes of stretching and breathing with him. He was hooked!!! He started coming to chair yoga faithfully. He was slowing down a lot this last year. He only stopped in July because I stopped teaching the class that was nearby to where he lived. I think of Jacks generous spirit now release and liberated and it makes me happy. I will miss seeing him though...of course wish that I saw him these last few months and I will need to find peace with that. I am grateful that he blessed my class with his loving presence.
