A guy friend teased that Daughters of the Buddha sounds feminists. Hahaha.....not John Buroughs and my intention at all! This Group is solely created to encourage women from all over to come forward to learn, encourage and share their knowledge and experiences on the beautiful Buddha-Dhamma. Another guy friend commented that the Buddha has no daughters nor sons...lol I wanted not too Buddhistic a term as my intention is to reach out and a name easy to identify. I consulted John on a few names for the Group and this one came to my mind while I was still on Chats with John, and thus this name Daughters of the Buddha........born!
