A guy in my own block of apts got a puppy. These last few weeks i have heard this puppy cry at certain times during the day. This usually occurs when the owner comes home. I thought it was maybe because the owner was angry to come home and find a mess ... a mess you would certainly expect from a puppy. Tonight a heard the same terrified screams. I went outside on the balcony and i saw the owner with a long wooden stick. The dog is in a corner between the washroom wall and another wall .. a space small enough where the owner cannot reach him. I shouted at him from the third floor. I told him i hope hes not using the stick to smack the dog. He said the dog wont come out and that hes trying to bite him. I said understandbly so seeing as how hes terrified to see that stick. At which point my dog came out and growled at him. In turn he was sarcastic and said that i shouldnt complain seeing as my dog also barks throughout the day. Clearly he did not understand why i was yelling at him. Now the dog is out in the cold still in that corner and Ive absolutely no idea what to do. The owner did say at one point that he will be throwing the dog in a field tomorrow.
