A guy with no arms looks for a job. He goes through the job listings and sees a position for a Bell Ringer at a big church cathedral. He is quite the religious type, so he goes and applies for the position. He arrives at the cathedral and the priest opens the door. The priest, surprised that this man doesn’t have arms, leads him up the flight of stairs anyways and shows him the big bell. Every hour it needs to be rung. The persistent man tells the priest that he can do the job even though he doesn’t have any arms. He demonstrates by cautiously stepping back 20 feet, running toward the bell full speed, smacking it head on. It makes a loud gong! The priest being so impressed, gives the guy the job. After 3 months of ringing the bell each day… the man’s face has become all bloodied up, scarred and unrecognizable. One afternoon, he runs towards the bell, accidentally trips and falls down 7 flights onto the ground, landing in front of a huge crowd of church goers. The priest runs towards the man, and tries to revive him. One of the crowd members asks the priest if he knew him. The priest said, “I don’t know his name, but his face rings a bell.”
