A handy piece of info for those doing their own wiring on things like mobile homes, caravans, solar systems etc. As an electrical engineer I often get asked which is the best type of cable to use. The most resilient cable for all purposes is whats called Tri Rated Switchgear Cable which is single core cable with a good flexibility, chemical and temperature resistance. Can be used for mains voltages and DC voltages too. You can get it from any electrical wholesaler in the same sizes as normal single core cables, 0.5mm upto 25mm and more.
