A happy birthday to one of Horror’s greatest stars Boris Karloff. One of cinema’s true legends, Boris Karloff, who if alive today would be 127. Karloff created some of cinemas greatest monsters for the old and the young. He was at first very offended when he was asked to play the part of the Monster in Frankenstein. The request came while he was lunching in his best suit. Eventually he decided to play the part and the rest is, as they say, history. He played the Monster three times in the 30s and continued in the horror genre for many years. Although towards the end of the 40s his star began to fade in Hollywood, his success as an icon of Horror cemented him in the hall of legends. A very talented man who provided a generation with sleepless nights, but to those who knew him, the kindest man one could ever hope to meet. So here is my list of the top 5 Boris Karloff films.
