A haunting piece by composer Peter Warlock (Philip Arnold Heseltine), friend of Delius (of Nietzsche music fame) and D. H. Lawrence. Warlock and Lawrence lived near the small village of Zennor, Cornwall for a while in 1917, where they shared an interest in Celtic culture and occultism (Heseltine even renaming himself to Peter Warlock for such reasons, as well as for being under the spell of Aleister Crowley, also a Zennor resident).
