A heartfelt Piano Public Service Message to Parents: So your young child wants to learn to play the Piano!! How wonderful! Sadly, In our experience, so many parents acquire a free or used piano for their child to learn on, that is basically junk. Most have chipped & broken keys, many are mice- infested, and the majority of FREE Pianos have not been tuned or serviced in 40 or more years. Many parents say Well, WELL SEE HOW HE DOES, before investing in a better piano. Please know that YOU ARE SETTING YOUR CHILD UP FOR FAILURE. No child can enjoy, or will want to learn to play the piano on piano keys that hurt their little fingers, or that cannot hold the proper A440 pitch. Your young childs ears are still developing, and NEED TO HEAR the proper pitch when first learning piano. If our child was going out for the Baseball team, we wouldnt give them an old tattered and worn baseball glove that will Hurt when they catch the ball. We wouldnt have them join the basketball team with an old tired ball with no air. We wouldnt have them take Dance class with dancing shoes with Holes in them. PLEASE PLEASE give your child a fighting chance to learn with a GOOD PIANO!! The Gift of Music is the MOST WONDERFUL GIFT that you can give your child. It is a Gift that will LAST A LIFETIME, PLUS MULTIPLE GENERATIONS! A new piano today, if serviced regularly (at LEAST once a year), can last through your childs entire lifetime, and through your childs CHILDREN & GRANDCHILDRENs lifetimes too!! A good upright piano can easily last for 75 years or more with proper maintenance. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS before paying $$$ to move a free piano for your young child. A Free Piano is never really FREE. Most require extensive repairs that often actually exceed the value of the tired old piano, & the children will quickly GIVE UP on their lessons.... Can you Blame them? Please feel free to reach out to us if you would like to know more about this, or have any questions about learning or purchasing a piano. Please come visit us and see how affordable a nice little upright can be, and how much JOY it will bring to your home. GIVE THE KIDS A CHANCE TO LEARN THE JOY OF A PIANO!! Thanks, and have a beautiful day.
