On Friday October 18th $352.00 was sent to them via Western Union. According to a BBC news report, posted on FB by contributor Debra Highfill, fighting has escalated in the area of Jaramana, Syria where Arjun and his family live. “Rebels fired rockets into Jaramana during the fighting and Syrian fighter jets retaliated by striking nearby opposition-held areas,” BBC news reported. In addition, “The armys months-long siege left many people in rebel-held areas in desperate need of food, water and medicine.” At this time, it is fortunate Arjun is able to buy food. However, the prices are continually rising due to food shortages. Many in Syria are starving. Each time Arjun leaves his home to collect donation money and buy food, he is in fear of his life. Donations are always welcome and needed. Please donate from your heart only. If you are a FB friend of Arjuns, please keep in mind his neighborhood has been under heavy attack, and he has lived in a war zone for nearly three years. The Western Union receipts verifying the money is sent to Arjun Ahmad in Syria are available upon request.
