A house divided against itself cannot stand. I have heard my mother use this saying repeatedly when my sister and i fought or there is conflict within the family. Imagine baking a bread without holding agents like eggs to cause adhesion your bread will crumble and break apart. By that same token imagine a country with no social holding agencies, no one or nothing to hold the the moral fibres that bind our people a void in cultural expression and a lack of strong leadership. Unemployment, and high taxation continues to disenfranchise our populous creating an atmosphere of fear and disillusion. Every man break fun yuh self! It is hard to think about your neighbour when your very own survival is being treatened so we continue to perpetuate division in hope of securing stability for ourselves and our family. Our leaders have all mushroomed and grown fat both financially and physically, while failing horribly on the job they continue to get their mammoth salaries and executive perks for their failing grades.WE AINT GOT NUH MONEY! WHAT IS MEANT BY THIS TERM IS, WE AINT GOT NUH MONEY FUH DE POOR OR THE AVERAGE BAJAN BECAUSE WHEN YOU LOOK AROUND MONEY IS BEING SPENT IN THE WRONG AREAS! Although i have digressed my main point is that we need to build back STRONG HOUSEHOLDS> STRONG COMMUNITIES> STRONG PARISHES= A STRONG COUNTRY any other way and we will continue down a wet mossy slope with no traction or hope.I NEED YOU AND YOU NEED ME BECAUSE WE NEED THIS COUNTRY! LETS UNITE AND WORK TO BUILD OUR COUNTRY STARTING WITH OUR HOUSE FIRST, LETS LOVE OUR PARTNERS AND CHILDREN AND LET THAT LOVE SPILL INTO OUR COMMUNITIES AND INFECT OUR COUNTRY.. ONE BARBADOS ONE VOICE ONE PEOPLE..D2.5
