A. i so miss having really cute cars.. i restored several Hillmans over the years, inc a frame up restoration of a 59 Minx...i was living up in Bonny Doon, and while rebuilding the Hydraulic brakes in my front yard , a fellow stopped by to let me know he had a Hillman , completely stripped and on blocks in his yard and i was welcome to it....I went and looked and was smitten at the body style.. and i arranged to get it to Live Oak, where i stored it..Then ..i dismantled my 57 Minx when i needed to replace the clutch, only to discover it had a welded crossmember support, so the whole engine had to be pulled.. as long as i had it pulled, i i might as well put it into the much cuter body of the new one....it took a long month, but i got everything transferred , learned a lot about rebuilding hydraulics , alone and without a manual... as well as the wiring harness...that Wonderful day, i was able to hop right in and drive right off....i was waxing nostalgic for my funny cars.. my ;last one was Benny Hillman, a 50 Husky, Panel wagon... a Commer Cob Conversion.....ah, Good Memories on this splendid rainy day
