A judge says anti-federal protest leader Phil Lyman has enough - TopicsExpress

A judge says anti-federal protest leader Phil Lyman has enough money to pay for his own defense rather than using a taxpayer-funded court-appointed attorney. Lyman gets $50,000 as a San Juan County commissioner, is an accountant, owns $650,000 in real property and a 5,400-square-foot home. He also draws rent from commercial tenants in Blanding. Lyman has been charged in connection to a protest ride through Recapture Canyon earlier this year.
