A lady came in today whilst her car was being mended down Callywhite Lane She probably was in need of a rest and a coffee, we got talking as it wasnt very busy she then told me her husband now had dementia and she needed a bit of me time, so I suggested the luncheon club next door where there are about four chaps and lots of ladies who her husband would be able to talk with and she could then pop into town for a few hours and blow the cobwebs away I then went and asked the elderly ladies there if anyone knew of any other clubs going on in Dronfield to give her as much information possible She carried on enjoying her latte and we chatted further She told me she came from Sheffield as do I and of the area, I knew it well and so I asked her if she knew my great Aunt Robson who lived in that area and she did! It turned out they were dinner ladies together many moons ago I said I would be seeing my great Aunt Robson tomorrow hopefully, so if she wished I would pass on her contact details and I will She was just taking the car in today for repairs and didnt even know of our Tearoom beforehand! Life is full of surprises and working in my very own Tearoom and meeting some very lovely people enriches my life and makes me very happy I look forward to tomorrow and the lovely people I will see and meet We open at 0930 and I hope to see you someday Vintage Rose x
