A large low pressure system is taking shape as three frontal systems are forecast to merge in the eastern U.S. tomorrow into Tuesday, while arctic air will again surge across much of the U.S. behind a strong front. Wintry precipitation currently in the central Plains is expected to spread northeastward across the Ohio Valley, the Great Lakes, and through the Northeast in the next couple of days.
