A late night contemplation: If a past civilization on Earth reached a level of technology such that much of its knowledge became digitized using not only mechanized storage devices, but also biotechnology; old traditions of art and culture died out such that many artifacts were burned, destroyed, or otherwise thrown away; sustainable practices reigned supreme to revive the Earth prevent the destruction of the environment; and armaments had reached amazing levels of accuracy to wipe out enemies without destroying the Earth; then how could we possibly know that they existed except for a few traces left behind as almost an afterthought? Whos to say there wasnt another intelligent race that lived before us, but learned from its mistakes and covered its tracks?
