A leadership moment. Mama duck patiently waiting for her babies to follow her. She knew they could do it before she even took that first step. Once the first follower made it, it was just a matter of time before they would all make it. They tried and they failed many times, but it didnt stop them from trying again and again. Mama went to check on them, but she never helped them up. She let them know she was there and she wasnt leaving them, but they had to do it on their own. You could see the confidence in Mama that they would all make it. She wasnt worried about it. In our life, as a leader, we have to know that where we lead, they will follow. We must teach them that we have confidence in their abilities. That they will fall time and again and we will let them, but we will not leave them as long as they continue to try and soon they will make it and as they grow into the leader they are destined become, they will repeat the process to those who will one day follow them.. and so on. Thank you Pam Sowder for being the mama duck to all of us who chose to follow you. You taught us well. :)
