The post holder will ensure helpdesk will provide software, hardware, network and other IT operations help and support as per the agreed SLA. This includes coordination with global helpdesk and ensures complete documentation of IT operations and met SLA. Problem resolution is a key part of the role and will involve the use of AN global reporting and diagnostic tools to reduce the frequency of incidents. As part of the role he will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the infrastructure including performance, Capacity planning maintenance, receiving and responding to alerts, Systems backup and restore. As the technical expert you will ensure that the infrastructure team follow ITIL best practices, and (working with global team) implement future infrastructure projects. This is a technical lead role whereby he will be expected to resolve issues himself as well as manage other team members to ensure that SLA’s are met. It is ideally suited to a highly technical person with some management experience of leading a small team. Key Accountabilities 1. Datacenter & DR Site - Manage and ensure compliance against AN global datacenter standards and maintain necessary documentations. - Monitor and perform troubleshoot on data center, identify issues and assist in timely resolution of same. - Supervise designing and evaluation of all server systems according to measurement of process. - Ensure necessary preventive maintenance and share datacenter up gradation plan with IT Manager. - Ensure services uptime as per agreed service catalogue. 2. Network and systems Management - Management, Support and development of all network, servers and hardware and software. - Maintain Active Directory, File Server and ensure compliance against wSUS and McAfee ePO all systems are patched and maintained in accordance with the AN IT security policy - Ensuring that all company network and physical security policies are followed in relation to the infrastructure. - Develop and Maintain infrastructure documentation. - Support and maintenance of existing systems and provide suggestions of improvements - Developing own training skills and IT knowledge to match needs of company - Ensure that all backs ups are run and if required reinstall any lost or corrupt data. 3. Help & Support - Work as part of a team providing help and support for incidents and requests on hardware, software either directly or indirectly. 4. General - Maintaining a clean and safety conscious area of work, disposing of any obsolete equipment as per company IT policy - Ensure HS&E compliance within infrastructure team and operations - Develop Team plans for projects as required and manage own and team resources to ensure that you and your team deliver to committed tasks in team plans. - Assist IT Manager in developing long-term, strategic plans, ITCP, DRP, SOPs and other global infrastructure projects. Profile of the Individual (Knowledge, Skills & Experience required) - At least a Bachelorette degree holder (computer sciences preferred) - Expert level Networking knowledge with at least 2 years of experience in a network administration or similar role (Cisco Certified preferred) - Thorough Knowledge of Microsoft technologies with hands on practical experience on systems administration (Microsoft Certified Preferred) - Knowledge of Business Process flows. - Ability to understand and analyze the business requirements - Good communication Skills - Ability to learn - Team player
