Not to be missed. keithordinaryguy.org.uk/ Dear Mr Cameron, Capitalism works by destroying the relationships between people and forcing them to compete with one another whilst stealing the wealth that we create with our labour. A CEO earning a million pounds a year doesnt physically create the wealth he enjoys, he makes it from the labour of others. Capitalism relies on exploitation to survive. Its easy to test. Call a general strike and everything grinds to a halt, call a CEO strike and the world would probably not even bother to shrug as long as ordinary people carried on working, and who, in so doing, would continue to increase the CEOs wealth. As a government you do not create growth or wealth, you can go on holiday for weeks on end and all that happens is that the newspapers have nothing political to report, whilst the rest of us just get on with doing whatever were doing, perfectly well, without you. In attacking the poor and imposing ever greater cuts on the poorest half of society whether working or not, you attack the primary source of manual labour and taxation, the very people responsible for GDP, growth, services and the functioning of society. GDP or gross domestic product is the market value of all officially recognized final goods and services produced within a country in a year, or over a given period of time. Taxation is a national service, by the way. What GDP is not is unearned money and nor do banks contribute to GDP. In fact what the global crisis, which the banks were entirely responsible for, revealed was their parasitic reliance on GDP and the service of tax payers earned money for their continued existence and survival. Farmers produce food and if they stopped doing so we would all starve and the banker with a million pound bonus would starve right along with the rest of us. The richest banker in the world is reduced to beggary without food on the table. It is a perverse, bastardised, twist of everything that has any meaning that money, as an exchange unit, has come to mean the difference between life and death and is used as an ideological weapon against the very people who produce wealth as GDP and tax revenue. The crisis of our times is about how to survive without the treachery of government, corporate greed and financial institutions and the exploitation of the wealth producers who you are holding hostage and who you are causing to die in ever greater numbers. The Cree Indians were right: Only when the last tree has been cut down; Only when the last river has been poisoned; Only when the last fish has been caught; Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten. We saved the banks and in return you attack us.
