A letter from Lt. Col. Farrukh. Father of Hassan studying in Grade 2 who embraced shahadat during militants siege of APS, Peshawar. I am highly obliged to you for standing with me in this hour of unbearable pain and grief. Losing a son is something which cant be healed in the years to come. Without going further into details of my agony, I would like to convey my message in the best of my expressions. Since start of the operations against the militants from 2001, the only institution which has suffered the most is Pakistan Army. Although we agree with the statements like we are paid for it, we are utilizing the majority of budget and other similar expressions but I would like to bring your attention to seriousness of this issue of Insurgency. Insurgency is a threat which requires efforts from every organization of a Nation from Top to Bottom and every individual despite of his profession, religion, interests. It doesn’t require the primary requirement of being in uniform. The responsibility lies on every citizen whether he/she is a businessman, a student, a lawyer, a politician or the case may be. Pakistan is not the only nation going through this menace. Many other Nations have been in such situations and have successfully fought through it but they were united like a fist. Morale support is the one of the basic requirements of fighting any battle and that morale support stems from the sharing the responsibilities at the individual and government level. The recent incident has taken a heavy toll on Pakistan Army. Now it’s high time that machinery of this Nation must take the responsibilities to deal with the greatest existential threat. Lets leave corruption at any level, the termite which has hollowed us completely. We are in habit of forgetting. We express our endless condolences but eventually wait for another incident to happen. Lets not forget this incident and take it as an example to mend ourselves and take an oath with our mother land that we will lead this on the path of glory and success. Lets change our facebook profile pages, cover pages, whats app profile pics, or any other thing which may remind us with one of the saddest incident in the history of Pakistan. Let this incident make us strong to clear every terrorist and enemy from this sacred homeland. Yes we admit this incident has made us bleed but lets tell our enemies that this wont lower our morale, instead this has made us more patriotic and passionate. Let us promise with mother of Hassan and mothers of all other Shuhadas that their innocent bloods will not go in vain. May Allah Almighty grant us wisdom and strength to put in our best to build Pakistan among the developed countries of this world. Regards Farrukh Street of Soldiers 1Unlike ·
