A liquid crutch turned into a full on mental prison. So sad for one of my friends who has traded everything for a drink trying to escape reality. Such a bizarre paradox. The crutch they initially started using to hold them up and to avoid reality is actually tearing them down and creating and even worse scenario. The saddest thing is that from the outside it is so easy to see that the answer is just to put the crutch down, but they wont let go. Hugs and strength to anyone facing this personally or watching it happen.
