A little History Lesson. The Marines always remind you that “The Corps” is older than the United States itself. They are correct. November 10th, 1775 is their birthday, which they all observe. But what they don’t tell you is that the Army is actually 5 months older. June 14th, 1775, by Act of the Continental Congress. 238 years old tomorrow. That’s easy to remember. It’s also Flag Day! So put yours out in the morning. (Oh. And by the way, the Air Force used to be part of the Army – the Army Air Corps?) Happy Birthday Army. Hoo-ah! Airborne!!
