A little analysis of the Detroit properties I got at the auction: EAST SIDE property - less that 2 miles from the Detroit Institute of Arts, Eastern Market, Hamtramck, and exactly a mile from the Packard Plant (which is undergoing construction as we speak, to prep for renovations). WEST SIDE property - less than 1.5 miles from Henry Ford Hospital, The Fisher Building, College for Creative Studies, Wayne State Campus, and the Woodbridge pub (favorite brunch place), and less than half a mile to the Motown museum. Both properties are less than a half-mile from interstate access.
