A little background on Cacao... The ancient Mayan people acknowledged Cacao as one of the most sacred plant medicines of the Rainforest and as such, the Cacao Spirit was worshipped as one of the most powerful deities of the ancient Mayan World. Cacao - ‘Xicoy’ - was known as ‘Heart Blood’ - she opened the heart and allowed for a greater love-based, heart centred connection. As Cacao is not a psychedelic like many of the other well known rainforest medicines, she did not experience a famous resurgence during the 60s and 70s. Cacao will not ‘take you on a trip’ or ‘push’ you on a journey. My mentor Keith, and I both refer to her as we experience her, as a ‘partnership facilitator’ - she partners YOU where YOU are ready to go. That is the nature of how we facilitate our version of this partnership work with Cacao in our own way - through teaching various tools and principles and through energetic work to connect you to more of who you are, and essentially, get your ego out of the way so you can have more fun, more joy and more love in your experience of your reality! It’s been an amazing adventure for me and our tribe. I have worked and introduced cacao now to a number of medicine shamans who hold ceremonies with Ayahuasca, Peyote, Kambo and other plant medicines, and all have experienced the same, deeply powerful, nurturing nature of this medicine and continually express their surprise and delight at how fast their own lives transform into greater heart-centred and heart-oriented flow and awareness, with deeply satisfying and rewarding and equally powerful healing effects for their groups. Each person’s experience is exceptionally unique, including my own, in each ceremony. I invite you try this for yourself, if the Cacao spirit is calling you to play to the next level of your unique magic! -*A*-
