A little girl whom I met in Florence, AL attempted to express her guilt over Southern intolerance by exclaiming that the film Birth of a Nation - a film that she only recently read two paragraphs about because her colleges film program is in capable of teaching their students adequate material adequately - was racist. I, as a southern black male, and a person capable of navigating film theory and criticism, politely explained that the film was not racist, but a byproduct of the sentiment of the directors environment. I was blocked -- because this #hellogigglesliberal needed to galvanize my minority space and voice to masturbate her own ego at: a) having discovered a hardly obscure film, and b) being capable of not being axiomatically, that is predetermined to be racist or ignorant as her peers. Conclusion: a) social justice warriors who take away from the people that they pretend to want to protect are more disgusting than the people theyre protecting the minorities from. b) social justice warriors must understand that minorities can in fact determine for themselves what is and isnt offensive. c) social justice warriors are in fact NOT minorities to begin with -- return to conclusions a and b
