A little note on perspective: I ended my work day by sharing an elevator with a lady who was wearing surgical gloves and surgical mask. I was humbled as I realized that her immune system was threatened by my germs and anyone elses. I had an overwhelming feeling of gratitude. My day was hectic, but not bad. Out of all the concerns I was juggling today, my immune system was not one. God created my body to withstand a lot and I can depend on it to function even though I dont always nourish it like I should. I thanked God that with all that is on my plate I dont need added protection and I prayed that He would restore the function in her body so she would no longer need it. Life is a precious gift and its easy to take it for granted with the business of the day until you cross paths with someone whose situation offers a little perspective.
