A little social experiment I did tonight... I accompanied my youngest son to a local Pan de Manila a few minutes ago. I purposely went there wearing simple clothes, no powder and only P50. in my hand. I was standing in line behind a woman who wore the exact opposite. She looked like she came from a party while her driver was waiting outside. The cashier was quite cordial to her, even greeting her a good evening before she left the store. When it was my turn, the cashier looked at me from head to foot. No pleasant greeting or even a smile on her face. She just punched away and as I was handing her my money, I saw her looking at Joaquin as if hed shop lift a piece of bread or something. I have to admit, I was a bit annoyed so before we left, I turned around and spoke to her in English. I asked something silly about the ice cream. I cant describe to you how I caught her completely unprepared. The young lady could not even reply but it DID force an awkward smile on her face. -- The Epols is really amused. You cant cure judgmental people. You can only pity their blindness but help them see? -- You cant. Thats a sickness theyll have to suffer from for the rest of their lives.
