A little talked about movie came out in 2014 starring Reece Witherspoon called simply Wild. Its a similar sort of film to Into the Wild which starred Emile Hirsch. This film was similar in scope and style which I sensed right away, though I have to say it seems like an unfair comparison because it stands on its own as a powerful character piece. When it started, I was skeptical to say the least but the more it went on the more I couldnt help but understand the worthwhile journey I was on. Wild is the true-story of a woman who decides to hike a long trail, spanning hundreds of miles, one far out of her league as an amateur hiker. Why she started in on it, how she fairs, and the person she becomes, is impressively revealed step by step. I definitely recommend it on a nice rainy day!
