A little version of this happened to me in Bath the other day, there was an old dude singing Rat Pack songs, as we( my husband and I) walked past I said wait, I must give him some money, hes so good and its really cold so I danced back to him ( he was singing Mack the Knife) and gave him some money, then did a silly dance back to my ( mortified) husband... As I was dancing an elderly couple were watching me and smiling, so I hammed it up a little more... Then off we went.. It lifted my spirits.. Then as we were waiting for the lift to the car park on the street, another young guy walked past, singing.. Beautiful voice.. It made me feel such live for people, cause when they are good, they are really really good.... And I thought... It just takes a bit of music, and a smile, and a dance, and a bit of silliness a bit of humour to change a vibe... If I had the gift of being able to sing ( I really dont) then I would sing for the world... I wish Id had the courage to go over to the smiling couple and get the old guy to dance with me to Mack the Knife, to have a laugh with another human being and break down the barriers we all hold up between ourselves...
