A logic 101 field trip comprised a train trip through Scotland. Looking out the window the Sophomore observed: “Look, a lone black sheep among a flock of white. I deduce that there are black sheep in Scotland.” The Junior observed: “Well, at least one black sheep. We may not induce others on the basis of this one observation.” The professor chimed in: “We may conclude only that there is at least one sheep in Scotland that is black on one side.” The Communications major who was taking the class to improve his demagoguery skills, and who had secured an internship with Fox News, saw his chance. “Ok, but the important issue is the flock being forced by the government to share its Divinely-provided grass with a perverse animal whose wool is largely worthless. Next thing you know, that black sheep will be getting elected shepherd. Where is Ted Nugent when we need him?”
