A lot has been happening in Hong Kong in the past 24 hours. The police destroyed the student protesters barricades, then the students quickly built new barricades using thick, very long pieces of bamboo which is very strong, along with metal barricades, securing it with chains and other things and even setting some cement, working through the night. In early morning the police moved in with chainsaws while many of the students were sleeping in tents, and also used other equipment as well as heavy equipment and tore it all apart and took it away. The protesters then blocked an important tunnel in the city and the police have been starting to get more aggressive and violent with the students now, clearing them away again. The escalation is because the Hong Kong government reneged on their agreement to speak with the students who want the democracy that Hong Kong was promised and have instead seen the Chinese regime slowly and deviously trying take more freedoms away. Epoch Times award winning journalist Matthew Robertson has been doing a great job keeping up with the fast moving events on the ground. theepochtimes/n3/1018944-hong-kong-police-take-back-crucial-artery-in-quick-march
