A lot of couples will allow those tensions that rise up when mistakes are made to degenerate into long periods of silence when neither speaks to each other. When we wrong our partners, saying sorry can open up the room for a conversation that will eventually lead to a resolution. In a beautiful marriage no spouse waits for the other to be the first to say sorry. One will always brave up and sincerely say sorry and move on. Life is too short to be bearing grudges when we have opportunity to pause and soak in all the love that comes from the peace of a beautiful marriage.
