A lot of folks dont know this but i was 10yrs old when i started working for the town undertaker. I started off cutting grass,washing hearses...basically cleaning and passing out funeral programs on services. Then finally one day after finishing my outside duties..i walked into the dressing roomof the Funeral Home and said..hey when am i gonna to get to help with the bodies? There was 3 male cases(bodies) that day...mr. willie chapman was the one i got to help with. I was never sure of the dates..i thought i was 11 but in actuality i was 10...my 11th birthday wasnt until October of 89 Anyways.... He said..boy i told you u aint allowed back here until u 18 I mumbled and pouted and complained about working outside...finally he says get you some gloves out that box and put these socks on him I was so excited...i was a step closer to being a real undertaker.
