A lot of people dont know this but I used to be a theatrical agent and I represented top name personalitys in my hey day - I was also a casting agent . Iam going back a lot of years now but you learn that its not what you know its who you know and also Its about making the best desicions for the role that is being cast . I could cast from a simple interviews and profiles of actors and I was always correct in my judgements. Even then I was still determined to overide the crap of the industry and make sure my actors didnt have to do cattle calls . In those days that was called being a good agent . These days they dont care because its all money turn over and not about the respect of actors at all. I would sooner represent 3 top stars than have a book full of maybes. I did enjoy building actors in those days but Ive become to smart for that now . You either have it or you dont.
