A lot of people dont like it when I preach about what God has done for me, and you know what I dont care, gonna do it anyway..so here it goes, Ive been praying for as long as I can remember for a horse, and you know how sometimes we get in the way of Gods plans and do things on our own, well I did just that, and I got a pony that taught me a lot about what I dont want in life, and God used that mistake to teach me all the ins and outs imagine and just how hard and stubborn I am as a person, then he blessed me with a horse I would never, ever in a million and one years ever been able to afford, he gave Blaze to me free of charge, today I rode that horse up and down North Bend, our little community here just to see what he was afraid of..not much to tell you. I got talking with his original owner and found out he came from down south, and once apon a time he was a Scout Horse, a Field Trial Scout Horse, which is a horse that goes out with hunting dogs and scouts out the dogs that have either run off, or is in competition with their owners and the dogs, he can be shot next to according to a website Ive been reading this is what is written about a Scout Horse. A good field trial horse must be willing to travel over any terrain, through tall grass or mud in inclement weather, through ditches or briars, across rivers or into ponds. They must remain calm in a group of horses, either leading or following. They must be willing to ride away from the group when used to scout. They must totally accept the dogs, even if barking or carried across their saddle. Now I dont know how much Blaze can do, but I am willing to find out, and I just want to say there is no doubt in my mind that this horse is a gift from God, he is more than I ever expected or dreamed of having, and I feel quite blessed to have this fine creature here. Im looking forward to taking him up mountains and across valleys and someday he and I may enter or start endurance rides :)
