A lot to think about in this mornings message. One thing occurred to me in service. If we wont lay down our desires to Jesus Lordship, it is doubtful that we will be willing to lay down our lives for Him. Whether its giving up something due to a scriptural admonition and/or a prompting of the Holy Spirit, or being willing to speak up for Gods standards in the face of opposition, or to refuse deliverance as in Hebrews 11:35, it is a matter of obedience, whether it is public or private, whether it is big or small. Jesus taught that faithfulness in the little things was an indication that we could be trusted with bigger things.
