A lovely article in the Cornishman depicting photographs taken by the people who brought the postcard to Britain and showing Cornish seaside towns more than a century ago - and how they have largely remained unchanged. The black and white prints of seaside spots were captured from 1860-80 at the dawn of photography and represent some of the earliest ever depictions of the Duchy. As you can see from the shot below of the Mount taken 150 years ago - little has changed on our tidal island.
