A man has been charged with raping a six-year-old girl in a woman’s toilet in Dubai, Gulf News reported. This dreadful incident took place two months ago in a restaurant in Jumeirah. The Bangladeshi man, a cleaner, was standing outside the woman’s toilet when the girl had gone to use the washroom. “She told the cleaner she was done using the bathroom and that she was about to leave. However, he did not get out of the toilet and waited until she put her underwear back on before approaching her. He then placed both his hands on her thighs and cupped her private parts and kissed her,” her father told investigators. Her father discovered the incident after he realised she had taken too long in the washroom and went to check. He said: “I heard her whisper to her mother about a man who touched her private parts.” The forensic report results have shown positive signs of semen around the girl’s private parts. The semen also matched the accused’s DNA, but he still alleges he is not guilty. The verdict is expected on July 31.
