A man in South Africa gets 5 years (perhaps out of prison in 10 months) when he accidentally kills his girlfriend. (Do we presume that it is O.K to kill an intruder in SA?) Today we hear that a young mother in Iran has been hung for killing (she said she did not) the man who tried to rape her. The world is outraged at both sentences. People are being killed in Syria; Ukraine & God knows how many other places!! Is it time we strengthened the UN & created a parliament to represent the whole world? We need a forum where ETHICAL decisions are made - so that Judges in South Africa & Iran; everywhere - have some higher guidelines. So that No country could march into another one without serious consequences or a fraction within a country decide to kill their follow citizens??? I have been accused of being an Idealist! We need to more idealists! We all live together on this little planet we should be tying to make in an ideal world.
