A man was arrested and charged today (Friday 26 December 2014), after the alleged stabbing of a 22-year-old man at Nambucca Heads. Police were told about 12.15pm; a 30-year-old man attended a party at Hallidise Street and confronted the 22-year-old man. The 30-year-old man fled the scene after allegedly stabbing the 22-year-old man in the hand and groin area. The 22-year-old man was treated for his injuries by Ambulance Paramedics and taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital where he is in a stable condition. Police attached to Mid North Coast Local Area Command attended and set-up a crime scene. About 2.20pm, the 30-year-old man was located in Bowra Street where a short foot pursuit took place. Police will allege the man threatened officers with a pair of scissors before he was arrested after a brief struggle. The 30–year-old man was taken to Macksville Police Station and was charged with Reckless Wounding and Use Weapon to Avoid Apprehension. He was refused bail to appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court on Saturday 27 December 2014.
