A man will face court next month following an investigation by police into graffiti and malicious damage on trains throughout Sydney. Police Transport Command officers investigating a number of graffiti and malicious damage incidents to trains on the network executed a search warrant at a home in Dulwich Hill on Friday (18 July 2014). They seized clothing, graffiti materials, computer hard drives and a set of knuckledusters. Following the search warrant, about 1.30pm yesterday (Monday 21 July 2014) officers arrested a 21-year-old man at Central Railway Station. It will be alleged between Thursday 13 March and Tuesday 15 July 2014, the man was responsible for graffiti and damage to trains in seven separate incidents. He was taken to Sydney City Police Station and charged with: • Enter land with intent to commit indictable offence (6 counts); • Destroy/damage property (3 counts); • Destroy/Damage property in company (5 counts); • Possess prohibited weapon; • Trespass; and, • Goods in custody (2 counts). The 21-year-old Dulwich Hill man was granted conditional bail and is due to appear in Downing Centre Local Court on Monday 13 August 2014.
