A mans car was stolen from Hindmarsh and found burnt out at Flinders Park overnight. The victim parked his red Mitsubishi Challenger four wheel drive near the Port Road tram stop at about 10.30pm. Police and MFS crews were called to the car fire on La Perouse Avenue, near the intersection of Grange Road and Holbrooks Road, at 4.30am. In the meantime, the vehicle sustained damage to the rear passenger side consistent with sideswiping a stobie pole. Anyone with information about the crash the four wheel drive was involved in or who saw any suspicious behaviour at the Port Road tram stop or in La Perouse Avenue is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
