A meditation on today. For many people, myself among them the day following All Hallows Eve is the day we remember those loved ones that have left this World of Physical Things for what awaits us beyond. For many, it is the only day that we can speak the names of our loved ones, lest our grief slow them on their own journeys. Today we remember happy memories, and sad ones. Laughter and tears, frustration and challenges overcome. All that makes a human being a human being, and the memories we carry in our hearts always. even for those who may not share this belief, it is often good to remember, to love, to miss, and to embrace all that you learned from a relationship, a loss, and the person from whom you learned from and whom you taught. Today I choose to remember all those whove moved on to the next World of the Spirit. Today, I chose to love them more deeply, to ponder my experiences with them, and to remember, with all the love I have, what made them special to me and to others. Today I CHOOSE love, remembrance, joy and tears as I honor their memories, and count my blessings for having shared in their journeys, as they shared in mine, helping me become who I am today. In the next few weeks as we move into the Thanksgiving holiday, I will pray for those Ive lost, (but who are not really lost to me, just in a different place and space). I choose to meditate on lessons learned, both easy and hard. I pledge to search for more in my memories, to help me move forward, remembering and appreciating the love, gratitude and the oh-so-over flowing blessings left behind and those found since. I am richly blessed. I am loved. Those whove passed on are loved, and never forgotten. May each of you in my circle of loved ones find new blessings, gratitude and deeper understanding of our Journey here as we walk each other home.
