A member writes: 2 years ago today, the BIGGEST nightmare one could imagine started for my family and I! I checked my husband into the ER with sever flu like symptoms, we (in N Texas) were in the middle of a West Nile Virus epidemic, and assumed thats probably what it was! Sure enough! He developed the neuroinvasive type. After overcoming almost every set back and symptom that can come with WNV, he passed away 2 months later. It had affected his heart ~ he had developed Myocarditis and we didnt know it. ALL BECAUSE OF A BLEEPING MOSQUITO BITE! ... The LoVe of my life is in heaven, and life as we knew it is forever changed! I need to stay busy to fill the void and heal my heart! If anyone in the DFW Texas area knows of a group for young widows, I would appreciate having that info passed onto me! ....and a couple of last things, please pray for peace my kids and I, as I will do for ALL to many of you ( looks like almost 5,000 ) and, please wear your bug spray to avoid mosquito bites! It is NOT worth the risk!! Thanks :)
