A message from Richard Taylor: Hi Everyone I have just got home from a big trip overseas. I managed to catch up with some of the newspaper articles that have been printed while I’ve been away. A very sad one about my head tutor, Bill Toomath at Wellington Polytech that gave me my break there. A cool one about a rebuild on a great old NZ locomotive that’s now back on the tracks. And… a misreported one that acknowledged Weta Workshop’s involvement in the Dawn Parade on ANZAC day. I’d just like to congratulate our friends at other props-making shops here in Wellington that created this beautiful work for such a poignant and significant occasion, and to stress to everyone that we can take no credit for any of this work as it was produced by other people and should not have been credited to Weta Workshop. We acknowledge from our own experiences how disheartening it can be after one has put in such a significant effort into something so special, and for others to be credited for the work.
