A message from Westsides Founder and Director, Robin Jampol: Jackie and Carla spend half their time doing trips to the vet. Westside has a new much needed team, called Team Tenderheart. Every day we have a dog or two who need veterinary care. And FAST! Lately we are able to save so many new dogs because adoptions are good, but the new dogs are the ones who either come in sick or had some preexisting condition that needs to be treated. Most of the vets we use are within 20 minutes of the rescue. We need people with available time and a vehicle big enough for a crate, who can be at the rescue to take a dog to the vet OR take a foster dog to the vet. The time we need would usually be between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. If you even had one day a week to be on call that would be great! There is nothing as wonderful as seeing a dog who was sick, feeling good again and know you played a part!
