A message from my son Dave Edwards re fund raising for marie Marie Curie Cancer Care by taking part in the Mongol Rally. Just under 8 weeks until we set off on our 10,000 mile quest to Mongolia in a ridiculously under powered Skoda Felicia in aid of Marie Curie. Like and share our page below for updates on our fundraising and events and also for tales of joy and impending sadness from the road. Obviously we would like you all to sponsor us as well, 100% of the money we raise will go directly to Marie Curie and the entire trip is funded by ourselves so dont think you are funding our little jolly across the world, you are donating to an extremely worthy cause. This time we thought wed give you all an incentive, so what do you get out of this? Less than £5 - You will have done a wonderful thing and for that you can have a sturdy handshake off us all (or maybe even a cuddle if you would rather?) £5 - For £5 we will not only shake your hand but we will give you the opportunity to write something inspiring on the car (no penis drawings allowed as were on a strict schedule and we dont want to be wasting days in a Turkmenistan prison cell) £10 - Lets face it, a tenner isnt a lot, its 3 beers, but if you were to sponsor us £10 we would put your name in a hat, should you be lucky enough to have your name drawn out of the hat then you will be our official 5th team member, thats right, youll be coming with us!! Our friends over at PartyPacks.co.uk will be printing a life sized cut out of you and well take you along for the ride. This means that you will have an album of Facebook photos of you on the the beers in Azerbaijan, by the Gates of Hell in Turkmenistan, being ticked off and extorted by Russian Police and of course at the finish line in Mongolia. We think this is a truly unique and bloody wonderful fundraising idea and not only that we will throw in a team t-shirt! More than £10 - For those wonderful people amongst us who are prepared to go that extra mile and sponsor us a bit more, we will increase you number of opportunities to be the 5th member with each multiple of £10 donated. We know people are always requesting sponsorship and we know that we always think oh no not again but please please please sponsor us and you might be the lucky 5th member!
