A message from the founder of ICare : To : All those involved in and out of charity.. It was a wonderful event that took place yesterday(walk dis way ICare charity stall) with the grace of Allah(swt)..another successful fundraising stall to add up to our ICare stall series for the orphan project(Syria) .. Alhamdulillah we raised nearly $500 yesterday for One Solid Ummahs Orphan Home 5. And we are still getting donations from elsewhere for this project and for sponsoring orphans. From food,fancy items and Mehendi we had them all in yesterdays stall.. The reach was great and the response from the crowd was even greater ..but whats more important is the commitment and dedication each and everyone of you involved put in.. This goes mainly to the girls (I wont mention names since I dont know everyones names who were there yesterday) who wanted to do this so badly and organized almost every minute thing perfectly .. From the decorations to the food and the way everything was planned and done Im so happy and proud that you all did it all with just a very little help from the boys .. Our intention was to do it for the sake of Allah ,for charity towards the innocent and oppressed children who are now orphans .. Wallahi this little gathering yesterday will be rewarded..even those who could not make it to the stall yesterday due to various reasons,but in their heart if they had the intention to come and work with or visit us ,they will be equally rewarded too.. .and the smiles on those orphan faces is something which is priceless..Islam encourages brotherhood and the need of concern for the ummah .. He who wakes up in the morning and doesnt concern himself with the affairs of the ummah is not one of us said our Prophet. (Saheeh Muslim) On the day of judgement, Allah will ask each and every one what did you do to help my Ummah when it was suffering? I hope we have the answers for that day coz there is no excuses whatsoever.. Thus instead of being desensitized like most in our Ummah today of the daily pictures and videos or news they see and hear of the oppressed,tortured, dead or dying men, women and children all around the world or not giving a thought about it and moving on with life happily , a group of us can come forward and make a change and make something happen however small it maybe ..our religion teaches us humanity and to feel for the oppressed more than anything else .. It teaches us to uphold justice and honour and always stand up to what is RIGHT whatever the consequences.. The Muslim Ummah is like a body,when one part of it hurts ,the rest of the body develops a fever (Saheeh Muslim) All of you coming together and working for this is much appreciated biidnillah it is significant in the eyes of Him because this small group had the concern and want to help the ummah in one way or another .. Personally speaking ,when I started ICare ,I had a small target of helping these innocent children with a target of around $10,000 but Alhamdulillah now we have surpassed that by a long long way ..special thanks to the efforts put in by the members and every other well wisher .. Without your help and support we wouldnt have come so far.. In relation to yesterdays stall, I would like to thank the donors who made this event a success and earned the rewards equally .. From all those who donated/sponsored gulab jamuns to choc chip cookies ,cupcakes to rolls and sweet cookies etc May Allah reward u all abundantly .. Lastly I would like to remind everyone that this is not over and we should not give up and start to live normal and happy lives as if we saved the world ..No, there is a long way to go.. Our limbs hurt now due to the pain of working up and down in yesterdays stall ,but our pain is NOTHING compared to the pain when these very children we are helping get bombed and their limbs are torn and blasted out by barrel bombs and missiles .. We were all hungry during the stall because we didnt have lunch ..At the same time there were children dying out of starvation and children begging in search for a scrap of bread even from the dustbin ! Millions of men, women and children are in refugee camps under worst conditions an animal can survive in..We live a comfortable life and we do not entirely feel for others unless when we are affected by the similar loss or pain .. Our Final messenger very clearly said : He is NOT a believer who doesnt love for his brother what he loves for himself (Saheeh al Bukhary and Saheeh Muslim) Ponder upon this! So I appeal to all of u to work hard and get the donations running and sacrifice and commit for the sake of Allah and his religion and for the Ummah of our Prophet Muhammad (saw) and never withhold,pause,take a break or pull out from charity ..
